Rock ‘n’ Roll, Religion, and My Road to the Real Me
Were you born into the wrong life? This work captures a young girl’s struggle between faith and freedom in 1960s America. Through Lila Naimark’s eyes, music becomes both her rebellion and redemption. From forbidden love to gospel conviction, this memoir pulses with Top 40 rhythms, moral conflict, and the courage to follow one’s true voice.
Lila Naimark grew up in Indianapolis, Indiana, with great love of Top 40 music, fast cars, and idyllic summer vacations on the family farm in Tennessee. Retired from a high-tech career, Lila now enjoys photography, travel, her grandchildren, and music from the 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s. Her short stories have been published in The Fallen Leaf Anthology, Vol. 2 and The Portland Leader periodical (Portland, Tennessee).

Ride shotgun with the author through the Sixties on her often bumpy, always music-filled quest to capture the life she was meant to live.
